Elisabeth’s Lounge is bringing R&B, African food, and culture to East Wichita. Located at 6160 E. 21st St. N., Elisabeth’s Lounge opened its doors in April 2025, quickly becoming more than just another nightlife venue.

The name of the lounge carries deep meaning—it’s a tribute to Kouassi Bernard Kesse’s mother, Elisabeth. Known around Wichita simply as Kesse, he’s the visionary behind this new eastside offering. Originally from Côte d’Ivoire, Kesse arrived in Wichita in 2013 and has been in and out of the city over the past decade.

Elisabeth’s Lounge is more than just a restaurant, lounge or nightlife venue—it’s a hub for cultural expression, unity, and joy.
